Garage classes added, up until the last minute!

We will offer classes in the garage through Wednesday, January 6. Saturday Jan. 2: 9:30 and 10:30 Mon., Tue., Wed. Jan. 4, 5, 6: 5:30 and 6:30 We will close the garage classes as of Thursday the 7th to move our gear into the new space. Prebook yourself into classes using the Book Yourself link on the right side of the home page. Thanks!

We met the carpenter today to plan the pull-up bars, and the landlord gave us the keys! There aren’t any lights in the space yet, but those may have gone in today after we left. Here are the photos that turned out decent. The parking lot mentioned is the one next door to the BluWater Bistro, south of it. Right at the back of the restaurant is a stairway going down to the front of our space. Cars park around the head of the stairs so it can be hard to see, but it’s near the northeast...

Garage workout: 12-26-09

Back squat practice. Most people were new to this so we stayed light and worked on form. Then we had the following in two different formats at 9:30 and 10:30 because of having two trainees in the first group and four in the second. 30 wallball 20 kettlebell swing 10 sit-ups We scaled this by having two beginner partners take turns doing 10 wallball and max sit-ups, trading places until they’d done each twice, then together they both did 15 kettlebell deadlifts, and went through all that...

Strength extravaganza. Deadlift (heavier than last time) up to your heaviest set of 5. 3 max sets of ring dips, or several jump-to-support and hold as long as you can. 3 max sets of ring push-ups. Skill practice: pistols. Four people had fun with this today.
