Six years and counting
Every year at this time I crow about my CrossFit Anniversary. Hooray CrossFit! I went to my first CrossFit workout on September 22, 2004, continued with three personal training sessions with Nick and Dave at CrossFit North, and then started taking classes. Thrush Sports Performance Center, Sumner, Wash., hosts an Olympic weightlifting (clean and jerk and snatch) meet specifically for CrossFitters. It’s on Saturday, Oct. 23. If you’d like to go as a spectator, competitions start at 10 AM (56 – 77kg men); 12 noon (women); and 5 PM (85 – 105+kg men). Great news! Our new (but experienced) CrossFit trainer, Lianne Nelson, will offer CrossFit classes on Friday mornings at 7:30 and 8:30. We are excited to have Lianne, who will also take on the Wednesday noon class starting next week. Additionally she will fill in next Thursday evening.
