Details on the Paleo Body Challenge

We hope you can all come to our nutrition talk and potluck this Saturday at noon! The talk starts at 12:15. We will explain the diet, how to make it part of your daily life, and the rules to the Paleo Body Challenge. In the meantime, here are the rules. Please join the Yahoo! Group linked below if you have not already; you’ll need it to email your food diary each week.

CHALLENGE DETAILS:

  • 6 weeks long: Feb. 20 through April 2
  • Try to come to the lecture on Paleo eating a week before the challenge begins
  • Eating is according to the Paleo Diet
  • Cost is $10.00 (cash) to be put into a kitty
  • In order to win, complete food logs must be maintained and sent in each Sunday via the Yahoo! Group (first you have to join it here)
  • ‘Before’ pictures taken: front view, side view and back view. Men are in shorts; Women are in shorts and sports bra
  • 3 ‘After’ pictures taken within 2 days of the finish of the Challenge, no exceptions (by EOD on April 4 or earlier)
  • Trainers pick the top 5 men and top 5 women whose body composition changed the most (based on pictures only)
  • Challenge participants MIGHT get to vote on the top 5 to determine the winner; if we decide to do that, we will ask permission of the top 5 people to show their photos in the gym on paper. Otherwise, photos will be kept private and only CF 206 trainers will see them.
  • The winner gets the kitty plus one month of classes at your current membership level. Winner of the kitty must have been one of our clients at some time since 11/15/10; if not, they can still win a month of classes, and a runner-up gets the kitty.
