I’m going to do the Whole30–who’s with me? The Whole30 people say they’re starting a new 30-day program next week–let’s follow along and take advantage of their (and their followers’) experience and knowledge. This will not only jump start any weight loss goals that you have. It will also make you feel better all around by eliminating certain foods that most people react badly to. You may be used to certain conditions or discomforts and hardly notice them, but I know from experience that when they go away, it’s a great feeling that you definitely notice.
Eliminating certain foods you’re used to eating may seem severe. But it’s only for 30 days. You can reintroduce most of them one by one afterwards and see how you react to each one. It’s a great (and simple) opportunity to learn something about your metabolism and food sensitivities that you might not have explored before. And if you’ve done a Paleo Diet challenge or a Whole30 challenge before, here’s your cue to tighten it up where you may have slipped back into one or two poor habits. I know I personally can use a “reset.”
Read about the Whole30 here. They will post something new on Monday, I’m sure, to kick off the challenge, and I’ll post a link. The Whole30 crew are such good resources and communicators on this topic that you should be sure to read their posts as well as their collection of testimonials. (Check that page whenever you need strength and inspiration to stay the course!)
“Eat real food – meat, fish, eggs, tons of vegetables, some fruit, and plenty of good fats.” -Whole30
I wanted to post a quotation from their testimonials also, but there are so many good ones that I couldn’t pick. Endometriosis, osteoarthritis, asthma, celiac, Crohn’s, Hashimoto’s, joint pain, PCOS, fibromyalgia, and so many other conditions have seen dramatic improvement. Browse for yourself and get ready to start on Monday!
