You’ve been squatting, pressing, and deadlifting for weeks or months, and keeping track of how much you can lift. Every four weeks or so you try for a new 5-rep max or 3-rep max after lifting certain percentages of your 1-rep max to warm up. If you’re coming to the gym this week, the room will be dramatically enlarged but a bit rough around the edges. The demolition crew is working this weekend to take out walls, drop ceiling, and carpet. This week during the nights they will smooth out the drywall, reinstall the electrical stuff, cover the ceiling, and other things.
