Just a quick note to let you know I am LOVING my first week at Crossfit206! I appreciate all of things you’ve already brought to my attention regarding form and technique. Even though I’ve been doing Crossfit for a few months, I like the fact that you’re treating me as if I’m new to it. I want to learn your methods for each exercise from scratch. Be on the lookout for another Hawkins in the gym. … – Jeff Hawkins

So, in about 6 months at your gym, I went through an amazing, mostly painless (but the pain was the good kind anyway), transformation. Thanks so much for all of the help and encouragement along the way. I really couldn’t have done it without out you all!! I plan on following your workouts and adapting them as needed (big surprise, I won’t be running). – Tiffany Brannon, disliker of running, leaving to move to China. Here’s Tiffany before and after!

I wanted to write to thank you for helping me train to be physically and mentally prepared for climbing to the 8000-foot summit of Mt. Olympus. The trail in to base camp is almost 18 miles with some steep elevation gain at the end. Carrying the 45 lbs of gear on my back to base camp was some serious work. I was seriously and happily relieved to find that my muscles were in the perfect condition to heft that pack and keep climbing again and again. Even on summit day my legs and lungs felt like they could go farther–amazing!!! The intense workouts in your gym have also helped me develop the mental fortitude to face difficult challenges. – Amanda Ciliberto

I have been happily surprised at my excitement and motivation to attend crossfit206 on a weekly basis. I have never been into gym classes or schedules, but the size of the class, instructors, and variable workouts make this an hour a week I try not to miss. This is something I can and wish to sustain for here on out. Keep up the good work and I will keep on swinging kettle bells. – Erick Lines

CrossFit 206 combines the expert attention of personal training with the added support of team workouts. This is a powerful combination. Before joining the gym I was doing personal training three times a week. I made a lot of progress, but the workouts at Crossfit206 have had a bigger impact at a fraction of the price. …

I was intimidated about joining the gym. I hemmed and hawed for about two months before taking the intro class. I wish I hadn’t waited. CrossFit is accessible for EVERYONE here. Fran, Tom and Lianne are great about form, not doing stupid macho stuff that leads to injury, teaching, and creating community. – Jeff O’Mara

There’s a strong sense of camaraderie in every class that I’ve not found in other traditional gyms. Seeing the accomplishments of my fellow cross fitters, and having them and Fran support and cheer me on, gives me the inspiration to push myself harder, not give up, and ultimately complete the WOD… and set a personal record every now and then. – Ernie Muñoz

Crossfit has made a significant difference with the other sports I do (wakeboarding, surfing, racquetball, running, etc.). I feel much faster and more explosive and have fewer issues with injury and chronic joint pain. I’ve also cut about 10lbs of body fat! Not bad for 2 months on a fairly moderate program. … Last weekend I went on a 23-mile backpacking trip with a pretty fit group of buddies. … I was way out in front most of the time. I finished day 3 just as strong or stronger than day 1. I wrapped up the hike by running the last 1.5 miles with a 40lb pack and finished well ahead of the group. – Jeff Thomas

I joined Crossfit with 20 pounds of post baby fat that was hanging on. I emailed Fran to let her know I was interested in joining but I was afraid of hurting myself. I needed to stay healthy and physically strong to take care of my twin 18 mos old twin boys. After a few weeks I was able to feel the strength in my core returning. I now fit in all my pre-baby clothes and because of the consistent and proper coaching I have not injured myself. I am stronger now then I have been in years.

I love the CrossFit format. The community is awesome and I especially love the neighborhood feel. I get as much personal attention that I want and when I am feeling sleep deprived from being up all night with my boys I don’t feel guilted into over performing. I am gently nudged to push through and just show up the best I can on any given day.

I also like the friendly competition it fosters. My partner Anna usually attends the morning classes. I like looking to see what she did then push myself to do just a little better. (She’s competitive by nature so I know she always strives for her best time / weight.) I do better with having an external focus.

CrossFit206 has been my best gym class experience. It is challenging, fun, strength building and fosters a community feel with others in the class. Being a stay at home mom can be isolating. Being on first name basis with everyone you work out with really helps me feel connected to others (i.e. adults). I love THAT!!!! – Debbie Collins

I want to tell you how much CrossFit has changed my life. I feel more energy and for the first time look forward to workouts. I think the variety of each workout is what really keeps me motivated to go each time. I also am amazed at the changes in my body and strength in a very short 3 or 4 months. I used to have a variety of stiff or sore joints just from aging. Now I can do a workout or spend a day in my yard and feel great afterward.

Also, the staff and other members make you feel comfortable but challenged at the same time. Everyone is supportive and positive with each other. I think anyone, in any shape at any age can make CrossFit work for them. It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. – Russell Janney
